Whatever your business goals are on the internet, you need a digital marketing strategy to achieve them. Whether you target consumers or business customers, your strategy is the solution to meeting their needs and it’s critical that you pick the channels that are relevant to your business, customers and goals.
So, to decide which digital marketing strategy you want to implement, use the following objectives as a guide:

To increase sales

If you are looking to increase traffic to your website and boost sales, then PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising is the solution, especially with Google Adwords and Bing Ads. PPC advertising is easy to launch and within an hour of setting up your campaigns in Adwords, your ads will be live on Google and its search partners and you will see a boost to your traffic volumes.

Pay Per Click

Connect with customers

Social media marketing especially on Twitter and Facebook is the most effective digital channel marketing strategy to grow your followers and connect with customers and fans of your brand. This is not as easy with other online channels and with social media is easy and free to implement and leads to high engagement.

Get free high volumes of traffic

To get high traffic volumes to your website that is free and qualified, you should implement an SEO strategy for your business. A well planned and executed SEO campaign will lead to high search engine rankings for your business and will help you achieve high traffic volumes for your business.
Social media is another digital channel that you can implement to drive free traffic to your website. By increasing your followers and engaging them by producing quality content, your Analytics reports will reveal that your traffic is increasing and this will boost brand awareness for your business too.
Both these channel strategies take a while to see results, but if you stick with it, you will start to see your traffic volumes increase and your sales too.

Increase customer loyalty

Email marketing is different from other digital channel marketing strategy solutions in that one of its main goals is to increase customer and visitor retention and is not so much of an acquisition channel like PPC, SEO, Display and Social media.
People who signup to your email newsletter or blog posts have shown great interest in what you have to offer and even if they are not yet customers, they are very warm towards your offers and can even act as advocates for your business and brand.
Using the many tools that are available in email platforms like Mailchimp, you can build a strong list of loyal customers that will create greater profitability than other channels.

Raise brand awareness

Video and display ads are the most effective digital channels for raising brand awareness. With the combination of sound, images, animation, pictures and text, you can create a unique experience for your visitors and convey brand and product messages that are difficult to put across on other channels.
Also, video and display are high engagement channels and they have wider reach too on millions of sites which are part of the Google Display Network, for example.
