Google Ads for Mobile Tyre Fitting: How to Create an Effective Campaign

Google Ads is a proven channel for mobile tyre fitting companies that want to reach people who need quick help with their car tyres. Whether they are stuck on the motorway with a flat tyre or just need help with a tyre repair or replacement where they are, this is the best way to reach them.

Of course this can be done with organic listings on Google and Google Maps. However, pay per click (PPC) ads always appear higher in the search results and usually people looking for a tyre fitter will click the first result that they see.

So, it’s important to set up a Google Ads campaign for your mobile tyre fitting business. And in this article, I’ll share a few tips on how you can do that effectively.

1. Campaign Objective

To get started with Google Ads set up for your mobile tyre fitting business, you need to select an objective that’s relevant for you. And you can begin with a Leads objective or go without a goal’s guidance where you make the decisions regarding all the controls.

After selecting your objective in the first step, you’ll need be able to work through the other features and controls. And this includes the goals that you’ll track and the others which I list below.

2. Campaign Type

Another important feature that you’ll update when you create your campaign and after the objective, is the campaign type. As you’ll see there are multiple campaign types for the Leads objective and it’s important to familiarise yourself with them.

A Google Ads campaign I recommend for a mobile tyre fitting business is a Search campaign. It’s a good idea to start with this campaign and then later test others like Performance Max and Display advertising.

3. Campaign Budget

For each campaign you set up, you’ll need to set a budget. This represents the maximum amount you want to spend each day and month. For example, if you set a daily budget of £20, then you won’t pay more than £600 per month if you run your ads on all day.

For a Google Ads campaign for your mobile tyre fitting business, a budget to start with is £500 per month. And then you should keep increasing it each month as you see your performance improves.

4. Bidding Strategy

Google Ads search advertising is an auction system. And like any auction you need to place bids for your ads to appear in the auction results. And in this case, you are placing bids on keywords to achieve your desired positions and drive clicks to your website.

There are multiple bid strategies to pick from. If you have not set up conversion tracking yet, then I recommend using the Maximise Clicks bid strategy. If you have set it up, then it’s better to start with Maximise Conversions bidding.

5. Keyword Selection

Next, you’ll need to use a keyword research tool to find keywords to add to your Google Ads campaign for your mobile tyre fitting business. And you can use the Keyword Planner tool in your account to carry out this research.

After selecting your keywords, I recommend only using phrase and exact match keywords. This will help to control the searches that you get and later you can add broad match type keywords.

6. Text Ads

You’ll also need to create some great text ads in Google Ads for your mobile tyre fitting business. And each ad group that you create in the campaign should have at least one text ad, whether that’s a responsive search ad or a call only text ad.

And the system will determine the headlines and descriptions to display at auction time based on the search ad context.

7. Ad Scheduling

The Ad scheduling feature is an important control feature that helps you decide when you’d like your ads to show on Google. The default setting shows your ads every day and at all hours. But you can adjust this to your requirements.

For a start, it’s recommended to run ads all the time and then you should check your reports to see which are the best times. And then make your adjustments based on that, to improve performance.
